The Slot Canyons and Lake Powell of Course. San Juan County has a ton of outdoor recreational possibilities and they all rock (pun intended)! I am so glad that I moved to the area and get to experience it in HD for real.

Allison, give us a shout, we’ll hook you up with a great adventure. We are in the process of adding even more canyons to our current trips so we will have even more for those of all skill levels.

Bulter Wash Road. Everytime we drive that road all I think about are the hidden gems within the Canyons of the Comb. When you dive it for the 1st time you have no idea where all those little turn offs lead to. Each one leads you down a trail of secret wonder.
I shall have to do a bit of exploring there myself. Thanks!
What SHE said. One of the most dense assortment of geologic and archeologic treasures in the state. Heading in again next week!
I want to visit it all and I have a trip planned for November – Hovenweep or Canyonlands look really interesting for a start!

I want to visit Canyonlands, Monument Valley, and a million ruins I’ve seen pictures of but don’t know the names of! Also…restaurants. Lots and lots of restaurants. I don’t know if other people consider them “attractions” but they are to me.
Sarah: Depending upon how much hiking you’re willing to do, three of my favorite areas for ruins are Butler Wash (both N and S of 95), the Grand Gulch area W of 261, S of 95), and South Mule Canyon (N of 95, E of 261). Happy hunting!

I’d like to visit Canyonlands, Hovenweep, and Natural Bridges Monument. For food, I definitely want to go to Peace Tree–I’ve seen WAY too many pictures of their food and would LOVE to eat there!

I like seeing the hieroglyphics and the cactus plants. And the jackalopes.
The most awesome, scenic mountain bike ride in the Southwest United States is in San Juan County. It’s the White Rim Trail through Canyonlands N.P. Whether you take four days or make it an epic one day ride, it never fails to delight.

Bluff, Utah of course! A tiny town full of history, art, scientists, outdoor activities and scenic views. =)
I basically grew up in Cayonlands, so I think it’s the most beautiful place on earth.
I really want to visit Lake Powell! People from work have done the houseboat thing and I think that sounds amazing, add a few kayaks and it’s perfect! Also, the Canyonlands National Park–so many places to visit that I wish I had more vacation time!
Natural Bridges National Monument is a hidden treasure in the middle of this huge juniper forest. The bridges are beautiful, the artifacts amazing and the wildlife is wonderful!!
Comb Ridge rock art, ruins and wildlife like the tiger salamander.
Nothing like spending time on the San Juan or the Green Rivers with Friends. There will always be a place in my heart for the entire area. Monkey Wrench Gang, still working hard.
JUst mved to Utah last year and havent had time to see much. BUt San Juan County is definately one of our destiations.
I would like to go to the Pueblo ruins in Cedar Mesa, Rainbow Bridge and Natural Bridges. Cant Wait!

You can’t go wrong anywhere in San Juan County but Indian Creek and Montezuma Canyon have me mesmerized 🙂
